"I took some of the influence for the logo from the ancient Yin Yang circular design, which represents Asian philosophy about finding balance in the universe", Thompson said. "The two directional arrows symbolize the coming together of Tiger's eastern and western backgrounds, his love of competition and his unique balance between the physical and mental asopects of the game."
"The oval shape is symbolic of both the globe and the golf 'swing plane'. Within the oval are the arrows which are balanced, yet dynamic in that space, representing Tiger's focused yet passionate style of play. The overall look is balance and unity between opposing forces."
The red, black and white logo will appear on Tiger's sleeves and back-neck of the apparel, the heel of his golf shoes and the back of his cap. "Red is Tiger's signature color for victory, "Thompson noted, "and red and black together represent his Asian/African heritage."
