The Tiger Woods Foundation envisions a world where people of varying backgrounds, histories, races, languages and ethnicity can all reach their highest potential and participate fully in the economic and social mainstream of society.
We will adopt as our own the very personal traits embodied in Tiger Woods of courage, creativity, work ethic, tenacity, integrity, heart, self-esteem and drive for excellence.
The Foundation will actively encourage, and promote parental responsibility and involvement in the lives of children and celebrate the spirit of inclusion in all aspects of human existence.
The Foundation will work to achieve its objectives in a number of ways. These include: recognizing the family as the basic, most important unit in society and identifying the role of the parent as the most important teacher in the life of any child. We shall conduct golf clinics in major metropolitan areas in the U.S. for young people historically denied access and exposure to the sport, supporting programs that promote educational achievement and job opportunities for inner-city and other disadvantaged youth, and participate in programs and events that promote racial harmony and help people understand and appreciate the value of inclusiveness.
